will a later model A/C housing fit in my 1970 truck?
My 1970 C/20 has factory air, it also caught fire and melted a bit of the housing so I called a few guys who are selling parts and one guy told me that I could use an A/C housing form a later model truck stating that GM made them the same.
If this is true can anyone tell me what years will fit? I am sure the cable slide control levers must look different on the mid to later 70s trucks..no? Thanks for any help. |

Re: will a later model A/C housing fit in my 1970 truck?
I pulled the AC system off an 81 GMC that I took the disk brake off of to put on my non a/c 69. Had to get the truck out of the yard and took everything that looked like it would fit off. I was working out of town for about a year and haven't time to work on it. I will try and take pics of the mounting side of the housing if it would help.
Trying to get all the honey do's caught up so I can work on my truck again.
