its been awhile
I havent been on this section of the board for awhile with everything going on here the last few months . sold my red blaze i had kept the green beast but i am stuck in the middle of the road with it . drivetrain is almost 100% done except drive shafts frame is done the suspension has been all redone . i am really stuck in the middle of the road with the body work . my tub is Ruff to the max . i am stuck in between finding a better some what rust fee tub , spend the money and buy every body panel they make or put a truck cab on it with a custom flat bed till i find a really nice tub to redo . what is everyone thoughs and yeah i know i should be ashamed of putting a truck cab on it . you can see from the pic i attached how bad the rust is and that is the good side

Re: its been awhile
Sounds like you should contact vtblazer, he has a 69 tub, it's rust free, unmolested and for sale.

Before I scrolled down and saw your reply I was going to say the same thing. Not too far apart either?

Re: its been awhile
Here's a original thought, sorta. Guy I know up in Vermont has one for sale
Looks really clean from the pics, would eliminate a whole lot of problems for you, and you could bolt it up, and be done with it

Re: its been awhile
Hey theres this guy up north some place that some how has rust free tub that would fix ya right up. I forget his name but he shouldn't be too hard to find.
OR You could go the route I did...... Check my thread from the beginning and read through. That will help you decide on which way to go. I'd buy the tub, lol..... Either way, glad to see ya saving one. |

Re: its been awhile
If you can`t scratch up money for VT`s or any other nice tub,I don`t see anything wrong with putting a cab and flatbed on so you can drive it.I know you just had a baby and are wanting to buy that 1st house, yet.

Re: its been awhile
yeah the pick up truck cab would be cool and a super short bed would be nice but probley just as much time and money would be needed . plus it still wouldnt be as cool as a blazer with the top off going down the road . this is going to be my new truck instead of going out and buying a new one so momma is ok with me putting money in to it instead of dumping a bunch of money on a new truck .
