Truckless Newb checking in...

Hey Gang

Rob in Ridgecrest Ca here. Currently lacking a '67-'72 Burb but looking for one!

Always been a Mopar guy but secretly loved '67-'72 era GM trucks My parents dragged me all over the place in a '68 Chevy C20 with an 11' cabover camper on it's back. Many fond memories of that truck. Grandparents also had a '70 "Jukebox" C20. That thing had every option the factory could put on it. They got it for a song because the dealer didn't want it!

Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on Craigslist and a few other places. Building the budget up and hopefully can get my hands on a nice driver. I need 3 rows of seats (got 4 kids) and preferr 4WD as I live in the desert, on dirt roads...which turn into a mud sea when it rains.

So far most of the trucks I'm finding are in Arizona (anybody near Show-Low? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/1402313586.html )

Welcome! Good taste in 'Burbs, that era is really nice looking.

There is actually one for sale just up the street from where I work, for $4500. Not mine, so i don't know much about it, nor how much that price might be negotiated.

Oh, and it's also a LONG way from where you are located.

Good luck in your search!!

Welcome from So. Cal! Good luck finding that truck, what style are you aiming for? 4x4, stock, bagged, etc.?

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I'd prefer a stock 4X4. Simple, rugged, reliable! Primary use is a hobby vehicle for the family to enjoy. An occasional trail ride and back up daily driver duty.

Trails around here can cover just about any type of terrain Daily driver use can see rocks and mud on occasion too!

Gotta love the Desert!
