Ratchet Shifter
Im buffaloed here.... i have a '72 C10 longbed, now with a 3 speed on the column, i want to put the shifter in the floor, but i dont want to break my back trying to hit that long shift to 2nd or reverse. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...43&prmenbr=361 ...thats what i was thinking of getting, or maybe a "real" ratchet shifter,(a b&m) to put on my floor. is there any way to shorten my shifts so im not stretching so far and bending down?
PS: i dont mind cutting big holes anywhere, just so long as it works, lol |

Lokar has an awesome set-up designed for your application. The long shift handle combined with ease of use, and installation could work great for what your'e looking for.

I used a Hurst and if you set it up right the throw was very short. Where you get into problems is the mounting brackets. The brackets break at the ears and then the whole thing moves around as you shift, making the short throw into a long throw.

Like it, but it's not a true rachet wrench.
