I installed a 89 Blazer tank in my longbed truck. I believe it was a 31 gallon tank.

Re: what year burb tanks will fit?

I'm wondering if a 93 burb tank will fit. I'm going to be doing the swap but not sure which tank I should use. The 72 burb tank or the 93 which already has the pump installed, seeing how I'm going to be using the tbi from the 93 of course it might be better if I have an external pump that way if something goes wrong with it it wouldn't be to difficult to change.

Re: what year burb tanks will fit?

Anyone ever put the saddlebag tanks on one of these trucks I know they recalled them in the 90s because of side impact explosions but it seems like they would fit good for someone with a lowered truck or airbags? Just a thought don't yell at me if its stupid or dangerous.

They were never recalled. ( Politics )

I also would like to know what year suburban tanks will fit as the local junkyard has a '82 , '87 , '95 suburban on hand.

Re: what year burb tanks will fit?

We got a letter in the mail (about 91 or so) if we wanted to take our truck to a GM dealer they would replace the saddle tanks for free when we had our 87 thats why I thought they were recalled I guess.

Re: what year burb tanks will fit?

well I went outside and did some measuring and it appears that the 93burb tank is about 2" wider that the frame rails on the 72. So, with that being said I looks like it wouldn't fit. Extd56 used a tank from an 89 blazer so it would be the same as a 91. So if you guys are looking to do this then I would consider that route because they are getting to be plentiful in the yards.
