73-87 1ton axles on a 71 Blazer
I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in here, but I couldn't find it. Here goes: Will a Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear from a 73-87 1ton (I don't know exactly what year) bolt directly to a 71 Blazer? Or do you have to move perches / modify stuff?

i believe the d60 will bolt in but the 14b might need to relocate the perches

Both axles will bolt in as long as the 14 bolt is from a K30. '73 - '87 one tons have a narrower spring spacing than the half and 3/4 tons making it the same as the '67 - '72 half and 3/4 tons. The rear shock mounts will have to be relocated.

Late '76 or '77, depending on how picky you want to be. It was '75 with dodge, though...at least in terms of having the desireable D60 front.

GM intoduced the K30 to their lineup in 1977 model year. I bought one and have had at least one K30/Dana 60F equipped 4x4 in the drive ever since!

Re: 73-87 1ton axles on a 71 Blazer
Thanks for the advice guys. I think these axles came in the same truck. I don't think any 3/4 tons had a 60 front (they were all D44HD as far as I know). So it's likely the 14bolt is from a 1ton. So then from the valuable info here, I will have to relocate the spring perches. I should be able to figure that out.

14-bolts were in all 3/4Ts after`72 as well.
The first K/30 I knew of was a`77 back then.I`m not sure where the`75 came from (big blocks in 4wd?).
