Dash Differences ?

Are there any differences in the actual metal dash shell on the 67-72 trucks?

Thanks

Re: Dash Differences ?

67 was kind of by itself with the smaller ignition and lighter. Then there is A/C and non A/C and there were 3 different ash tray set-ups. I believe they all interchange however.

Re: Dash Differences ?

As a 68 owner, I do know the 67's have subtle differences. I can't speak for the later ones, though I am willing to bet that there are little differences.

A/C and non A/C excluded, I am pretty sure the ash tray and the 67 oly ign switch hole and lighter hole are the only things.

Re: Dash Differences ?

Does any company sell reproduction shells? I saw one for the late 40's / early 50's chevy but that is it.

Other good places to find one?

Thanks

Sounds like if you need to do this, you should consider a custom dash job!!! With that much real estate to deal with, imagine the possibilities!!

Never seen a repro but once in a while you will see an entire used one on CL or Ebay. You also see just the center section which is what I bought to fix my cut up radio opening. It's easy to cut and weld these in behind the guage cluster and the glove box door where it is really narrow and not much bodyworking would be needed.
