Door Check Question

Is there more than one orientation for the door checks on our trucks. I have a new one that is installed except for the pin. It looks to me like it would only open about 3/4 of the way.

The truck was his and he sure as heck wouldn't understand why I took a perfectly good truck and tore it down!

Re: Door Check Question

If I understand the question, there is only one position, either open all the way , or closed.

Re: Door Check Question

I just put a set in my doors last night. They only go one way.
Compared to the side with none at all and using the cowl panel as the door stop, the door doesn't even open even half as far. -which is good.

Re: Door Check Question

I thought it might be slightly angled at the end where if turned over it would allow it to open more. I need to put the pin in it and see what it looks like. I had the old ones on there and it seemed like it opened plenty far with them.

Re: Door Check Question

I believe that the reproductions give you less opening than the originals
some one did mention that the jeeps rear door stops also work. do not know the length of travel. jeeps from the 80's
