A trip around my auto shop...

Guy's a while back when I took my truck to my auto dealer to have it realigned I didn't feel like sitting to much in the show room, so I decided to take a stroll around the shop/lots to see what was around. Needless to say is was a '67-72 kind of day.

Behind the cleaning bays, I located a big block Custom Camper truck which was sold new at Cable Chevrolet in Kansas City, MO.

On my way back to the front of the dealership, I looked across the street and noticed another truck being worked on at another shop.

Re: A trip around my auto shop...

Next I decided to travel across the highway to the back lot and see what was stored behind the fence. While talking with the guy's at the service desk they mentioned the dealerships owner purchased a truck to restore for his daughter. Needless to say I was a little surprised with the original color combo of this LWB. Seriously considering asking if the project is for sale and the dealership's owner recently sold the body shop area to a local body shop.

Factory tilt, factory tach, jack w/ tool bag,...

Behind the project, there was a real cool COE which appeared to be rust free.

Nate, I bet you had a great day seeing all those 67-72s out there that day, I usually have "great 67-72 days" here in my area, most of the ocassions I spot( 5-7 ) 67-72s a day, but usually 5 of those belong to me I would have to say that is a first time I see a 55-59 COE truck, cool pics thanks for sharing.

Re: A trip around my auto shop...

I'm more intrigued by the COE behind it. Apparently there is quite a following with these trucks. There was a late 40's COE dump truck in my area that was still being used by some local construction workers. It looked bone stock, not perfect, but straight. It would be loaded with dirt and concrete like it was a 10 ton. They may not be worth much, but they are cool looking trucks...
