Re: Anyone use these LED taillights?

Had two...They dont like the cold or moisture, they are sealed at both ends but somehow it still gets in, then it craters. That was about 2 years ago. dont know if the newer ones are better? Also the leds dont perfectly line up in a row, some are worse than others. Ended up returning mine and getting my money back(lucky)

Re: Anyone use these LED taillights?

Thanks for the reply kelsfine69, how long did it last before it started crapin-out on you? Of course here in Texas we don’t have your kind of winters, so maybe one of them could handle it here?

Anybody else with good OR bad experience?

My truck has not-so-bright taillights in the roll pan and they are pretty low to the ground. Sometimes as im coming to a stop I see people run up on me then hit the breaks hard. So I would really like to increase my visibility. I’m open to other brands/manufactures.

Yes, that’s where I saw these.

Re: Anyone use these LED taillights?

I got about 3 months, then water came in, traded in for another then same thing. It was in the summer too I think. I think that its the difference in temp from inside to outside that causes the condensation. Its just a plastic tube with silicone on the ends to seal it. On the second one I added more silicone to seal it up good but then Condensation started again so I just took it back. it probably needs to breathe but then dirt and water will get in and how do you clean it? Now this was on my daily driver so being on a nice truck that gets garaged every night might be OK.

Also mine was the ones that first came out just a red line with signals, No amber or backup.
