polishing aluminum intake manifold?
my intake is slightly oxidized, and when i paint my motor i want to clean it up some... what can i use to polish it?
it's a weiand 8004

Is it already polished and just dull? For the ones that have a ruff surface I have found that some wheel cleaners with acid works well. Just gotta keep it off of everything else.

sand it with some fine paper. then get after it with the drimmel (with buffer thingy on it). they have lots of aluminum polsishing products. go to your local truck stop and pick up an aluminum compound bar. they have like 3 different cutting grades. great stuff though. all the big rigs use it on their tanks and what not.

re: intake
i powder blast them, cleans them up terrific, and takes about 5 minutes at most. then polish.
