Mucho Progress today!!
Got to work on the truck all day. Stilookn and his daughter Megan spent several hours and we got the 2000 Silverado seats installed. Almost done with the B&M linkage and the motor is near ready to fire. Check out the pictures.

Thanks for the input guys. Castiron, there is a machine shop in Kenmore called T&D machine. Gary and Bob are the owners. Bob is a hardcore drag racer and really knows how to put an engine together. I thought their prices were very reasonable. Bob also will come to your shop when you are ready to fire the motor and do a tune and final check for you. Jay, the seats had to be engineered by my good friend Stilooken. None of the bolt holes lined up. Seats sat a bit high so we removed the base brackets and gained some height. They do fit very well however. There is a large salvage yard in our area that buys these "take-outs" from the dealers. These were removed as the buyer wanted leather. They had several sets at very fair prices.

Thanks for the info. about the rebuild shop....Am not sure where I will be taking the BB to be over hauled..I am sort of on a budget and basically want to keep the LONGHORN truck pretty stock,,Just want the motor to run like she used to,,,Am not to familiar with all the terminology when it comes to rebuilding an engine so I need all the help I can get .I just want to find a shop that will do good work and not try a rip me off Have been quoted prices from 1100.00 to 1400.00 so far....At this point I am thinking of pulling the engine myself???Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated,,,Thanks guys,,,,,,,,,

Castiron9: I can't help ya too much on the pricing, but those prices sound reasonable.
As far as yanking the engine yourself, do it if ya can. Most machine shops won't take it out for ya, they want the engine out of the truck. It'll cost ya a lot to have someone else do it. I have pulled many myself and would be willing to help you out if ya need a hand. Just have to find time in this busy schedule, lol. Either email or pm me if you want some help.
