4.3 installation

Does anyone have a picture of a 73-87 chevy with a 4.3 installed. Putting one in a daily driver and need photos to see where the motor mounts mount on the frame, as well as to where things hook up, especially electrical. Oh ya it is an 87 4.3 into a 86 frame. Thanks

Re: 4.3 installation

everything is exactly the same as a sbc v8 except its missing 2 cylinders. all the brackets and mount interchange its basically a direct bolt in swap

Re: 4.3 installation

you will need the radiator shroud for the v6 as its alot wider to make up for lost space.. all my old pics of the v6 truck were lost during a computer crash.. at least of the engine

Re: 4.3 installation

I thought the motor mounts had to be moved ? The motors mounts are the same, but they bolt to a different place on the crossmember. That's how it is on 88-98 trucks anyway.

Re: 4.3 installation

I know the mounts are different on a 4X4. Frame and motor. Don't know about a 2 wheel drive.
