'79 10 bolt front questions

I'm using full-time 4wd for now (203) and my truck has some cheap lockouts on it I've been running in the locked position. I have the full-time stuff from a '72 dana 44. Gear, spring, cap for each side. The gear slides on the shaft and into the hubs. So adjust the wheel bearings, put in the spring and the gear, then the snap ring. Is that it? Also, I think the outer stub shaft from the dana 44 will interchange with the 10 bolt. Is that true? The splines on one side are very worn. Thanks

There is supposed to be a large cup-shaped "washer" that goes in before the spring. It keeps the spring from rubbing on the cage of the outer wheel bearing.

yes, the outer shafts are the same... the inner shafts aren't...

There are a lot of other shared parts too
