Me too. I am actually looking for some steel stands with removable ramps. My dad had them. You drive up them and remove the ramp portion which allows more side access. I came accross this. I think it's cool. The concept is good, but I'd build it a little different though.

I dont know if I would go under the car with anything made out of wood, thats just me...great concept I would make them out of steel...

I have a better idea, not exactly cheaper or faster though. get an education in auto repair. spend over $40K in tools. get a job at a shop with a 4 post drive-on hoist.

i hear that but i love the 4 post lift,expect for when the general manager of the dealership (owners son) puts the 4 post lift where its almost impossible to bring in a one ton or bigger truck,they built a building around the lift when they extended the shop just not good planning when they redid the service bays next time im there i take pictures of the lay out
