Talking My first!

So...
If any of y'all have been following my other posts, I've been fighting a torque converter amongst other crap since putting in my new / rebuilt motor...
Well, I took the truck down the street and back to see how it's running now that I changed and adjusted a couple things, and when I pulled out onto one of the streets by my house (50mph), it's kind of a blind turn, and so I pulled out and was at about 35 / 40ish when I realized I needed to give it more love.
I hit the loud pedal, and instead of like she used to do with the old motor, just go, she lit my tire up.
This was my FIRST EVER ROLLING BURNOUT! And it was awesome. 3.08 rear gears at that...

Re: My first!

I had a similar experience when I finished the 383 for my truck. I had a 350 before with about 200Hp that I used to pound on the way to and from work. Not much going on with that. I used to get smoked on a regular basis by just about anything

Huge difference! I went from lotsa noise with nothing happening to lotsa tire smoke and a lot more action. Its really cool when you get posi too.

Re: My first!

Congratulations! Bet you weren't expecting that! I can't even do a standing peel out. Gotta love the 250's... What kind of numbers is your engine putting out?

There's nothing better than being prepared for a turtle race and then finding out that you're strapped in to a rocket ship. Congrats, man.
