A/C questions
I have just installed a rear a/c unit in my 84 suburban. Got one from someone who was parting his out. First question: what is the difference between axial and radial compressors. Second question: I had to cut the rubber hoses to get them out of the other trk, can I just put hose clamps on them to secure them, or do I need to use something else? Tommy

Radial works like a rotary engine & an axial works like a piston engine. I think you can put hose clamps on the low side but not the high side. Just do yourself a favor and buy new hoses just in case!
