Re: Divorced 205
i'd find a chevy or dodge divorced t-case. Let me know if you have trouble finding one. There is a yard here that I can get whatever case you want.

Re: Divorced 205
Do any of the divorced 205's have a drivers side drop? does the speedo read from the tranny or the t-case?

Re: Divorced 205
it can reaed from either one, you will just need a really long cable to get to the divorced case.
chevy never ran the 205 divorced so you will have to get teh dodge or int/nat case. |

Re: Divorced 205
There have been people who have made divorced cases married, I've seen it before, but it's not like the divorced 205 is rare or anything.
Oh, and no the divorced 205 never came in a factory Chevy. Maybe a Napco 4wd conversion, but the 80's chevy K30s had married 205s.

Re: Divorced 205
How much farther back is the divorced transfer case, than the married one? How long is the little driveline in between?

Re: Divorced 205
depends on how long you want it.
you can go yoke to yoke but most people will set on eup so that the front and rear drive shafts are the same length. |

Re: Divorced 205
I never really understood making the driveshafts the same length. I get the theory, but to me I would want the least possible angle on my rear driveshaft as that's the one being used most of the time, then just make sure your front isn't at too much of an angle.

Re: Divorced 205
you keep them the same length for trail simplicity.
if you bust your rear on the street or whatever you can just swap your front in. unless its a blazer or you have a stupid tall truck there is no reason that you rear angle will ever be an issue. |
