Question What parts interchange between the trucks and the blazers??

HI. I am new to these trucks/blazers.

I am planning on buying a 72 blazer today.

It will need a door, maybe a fender, interior, etc.

What parts will interchange from trucks of the same generation? Is it 67-72 parts that interchange?

Are there a lot of aftermarket parts for these?

Thanks a bunch.

Tim

Re: What parts interchange between the trucks and the blazers??

Doors forward (doors can be cut down). Tailgate (blazer/Jimmy have additional trim on the top of the gate). And the driveline parts are the same. 6 foot short wheelbase bedsides can be cut down in the front to fit a blazer/jimmy. Blazer/Jimmy also has a rocker/torsion box that a truck does not.

Hope that helps.

I have ordering parts form catalogs. The one I like to use is Classic parts of America. They seem to be cheaper on most items but the do not have every thing.

Well, I guess i am still looking . . .
The truck had some good points, but I needed a driver now and it isn't even close to being a driver. The search continues. I just might pick up an 85 that is a driver for 1700. Needs paint, but seems pretty solid.

Thanks for the info.
