How Much Drop by Cutting 1 Coil off front coil springs?

How much of a drop can I expect if I cut one full coil off the front coils on my 70 C20? Would I get about 3" or more or less? I just wanna know so that when I get drop shocks I know what size to get. Thanks

I would cut half a coil at a time to see how far it drops. But I did cut a full coil off my 68 lemans and it droped it more them 2 inches.
