New to 67-72hevytrucks
Just got my 70 blazer about 6 months ago both my brother and dad have 72's and i have come to love these blazers, since i got it i have replaced front axle with one off of a 72 for the disc brakes, new body mounts, and new shocks, right now my rockers are under the knife....any tips for keeping the metal from rusting out again...here are some pics of it about 3 months ago

Re: New to 67-72hevytrucks
Welcome from Fair Oaks. Nice Blazer.
All you can do to try and keep your new rockers from rusting is paint them with a rust preventer and everything else you can get to while the rockers are off. That should give you another 39 years before you need to replace them again. Post some pics of your Brother and Dad's 72's.

I recommend coating everything with Waxoyl http://www.roversnorth.com/waxoyl/. This is really popular with the British and I highly recommend it.

Welcome to the board are your brother & dad members too?
It's good to see that's there's still decent unmolested blazers out there, nice start to a life long journey. |

Re: New to 67-72hevytrucks
heres a new pic of the blazer after i put tires on and painted the bumper, i put new shocks on it and for the longest time couldn't figure out why it still rode like **** so i found out the shocks were too short, got new ones and it rides great but for some reason the truck sags in the left back corner any reasons why? could the leafs be wore out....

Re: New to 67-72hevytrucks
or it got hit at some point? hopefully not. I've also seen a truck that was missing spring-eye bushings and was sagging.
