Tilt Turn Signal Sitch Question...

Mine was defective so I ordered a new one.

They sent the wrong one so I am waiting for the correct one

Correct one came and the front left directionals do not work with the new switch. The left rear didn't work with my last switch. Everything works correctly when I plug in my non tilt switch I removed from my old non tilt column. Now I have to wait for another one!!

Damn TY&^%#@&*)*()(*(^$$#%E(*&^%()**&**&^&%$$^&(* Cheap junk switches!!!

That is all I feel better now.

I sent you an email but I really don't like the adapter harnesses as adding any connection is not good IMHO.

Thats what I assumed since you were having a problem. We sell those but will check and see what the price is now. These are OEM quality.

Re: Tilt Turn Signal Sitch *&^%%$$%$^%

I had taken the switch apart trying to see what was the matter and didn't find anything except the switch is now unuseable. I remembered getting no continuity on the horn wire so I spliced another one on and it worked. After that the front left directionals stopped working. I thought it might be the connection at the connector but it still didn't work when I removed both the male and female connectors from the plastic body and put them together. Upon further investigation (I have to know why something works/doesn't work) when I pulled the wire at that terminal the wire was broken and it appears when they crimp around the insulation sometimes it brakes the wires! I figured I would bring this to everyones attention so if they are having similar problems they can check the connection at the terminal.

Does anyone know where I can get some of these crimp on terminals?

No I have not been able to find them terminals for the last three years. If you find some please let me know. From my experience I have found that all repop turn switches are nothing but trouble the best way to go is AC Delco never had any probs at all even with the adaptor harness also.

Can I still get AC delco? Part number? Can you get it?

I was wondering if somebody had a good contact at M&H or one of the other harness manufactureres they could get the terminals?

Thanks in advance
Mark

Re: Tilt Turn Signal Sitch Question...

Hey Mark, No I'm sorry I did not see your reply. Just got back from a car show been gone since Thursday. You can still get AC Delco from any GM dealership or any parts store that sell AC Delco parts I get mine here locally from Smith Auto Parts. I have part # D6216. I am good friends with Stan @ Early Classics Ent. He can not get M&H to sell terminals. They want to sell whole products. Let me know if I can help more.
Thanks, Kevin

Re: Tilt Turn Signal Sitch Question...

We sell all AC Delco parts. The harness in the photo meets or exceeds AC Delco quality. These are oem quality not the Help stuff crap. I would not list them on here if the were cheap repops. Let me see if I can get the connectors we have some good sources that other companies may not have.
One thing a lot of people don't realize is some of the stuff that today is called repop is still made by the original suppliers
