Re: Project "Nympho"
Ok so here's my official update....
I had a hard time finding a driveshaft to fit and didn't want to pay 300 for a new one, so I finally found one that would fit with a long tail (mine is short tail turbo 350). My neighbor gave me a long tail so I installed it...long story short...it didn't work! So I reinstalled my short tail, moved the motor back two inches(PITA-requires new holes to be drilled for mounts) and finally a match. After that was done a played with it a little-drove it around the block and did some burnouts! This past weekend I drove to the Texoma area and picked up a bed..I did an even trade with a guy for a cab that I purchased for another build. I brought the bed home and realized that it wouldn't align very well so last night I cut the rails off the rear notch, set the bed where I wanted it to be and rewelded the rails in the correct position...needless to say it has been a handfull. The truck is making real progress though and should see some road time this summer-at least the road between me and the body shop! |

Re: Project "Nympho"
Soon to come...I bought a york 210 off flebay and have started the bracket work for it!!! Also as you can see in the pics I have started the bodywork on the bed and cut a tunnel in the cab for the ds, I will also be revisiting areas on the rest of the truck. I also need to trim out more of the inner bedsides, I'll prob do that tonight.

Re: Project "Nympho"
Started messing with the tailgate...and the LH bedside is smacked pretty good near the tail lamp area, that will take some work.

Re: Project "Nympho"
....the frame looks tweaked in the pic w/out the bed but I didn't have the cab mounts on at that point-all good now though. Also, I FINALLY fixed the trans leak-my garage floor is water proof for sure now!
Note: that's my 05 in the background. |

Re: Project "Nympho"
wow, it gets that low with just a notch and mounting the bags on the trailing arms? how far from the ground is the frame?

Re: Project "Nympho"
I wish it were that easy...take a closer look...the bags are mounted on the axle, the cab has a tunnel for the ds, and the crossmember is cut...I'm not sure on the height of the frame but the bedside is about 3 inches from touching and I still need to put in some 2 in blocks on the back.
