Re: Brought it Home Today

the mirrors are staggered so you can see out of them easier. The older 69 - 70 style on the long arms has a longer arm on the passenger side so the wing vent pillar doesn't obstruct your view.
That does look like a nice one... what kind of options did it get?

Re: Brought it Home Today

Not much, here is the SPID. This is simpler than my '04 though and that's exactly why I bought it. I don't have to worry about the BCM going bad and trashing all of my dash instruments, or my AC going nuts and going full hot whenever the hell if feels like it. I'm tired of all the electronic mumbo jumbo that you have to take to someone else to get fixed. I know how to work on this one. A friend said I should primer it because it's rough. Not a chance! I like it just the way it is. Soon it will run and drive like it did in '72, and it has a definite cool factor to it.

Re: Brought it Home Today

I've got a brand new 290 horse crate motor and rebuilt TH350 ready to go. What's troubling me is a driveline vibe. I had the driveshaft redone and balanced and I still have a resonant vibe between 45-60. Wondering if it is still the driveshaft?

This one...

Re: Brought it Home Today

What headers are those?
Does the motor sit higher, lower, forward, back, or the same as stock with the motor stands you have?

Congrats on a driver that can actually be worked on.

Re: Brought it Home Today

They are Sandersons. I got them from ECE cheaper than you can get them from Sanderson. The motor sits a bit higher than stock and I think a little farther forward. It's hard to tell with no cab on it right now.

Re: Brought it Home Today

If you put the sport mirrors in the same location, you can not see out of the passenger side at all. It has to be back to see around vent window post. Harold
