? for Suburban experts

did 71-72 Suburbans come with plywood floor in the rear, if so, why did they do this. Appreciate your info. Am thinking of purchasing a 71 and just wanted to make sure.

Yes, they came with plywood...you would be suprised how many questions you will get about "why did you cut out the steel floor?"! It is almost as common as why did you weld up that driver's side back door?! I am not sure on the reasoning for this floor treatment....but mine still looks fine at 31 years old...so who am I to argue.

The reason for the plywood is the same reason for only three doors,COST$$$$$$$$$$$$
