Sway bar mounts
I have a 70 c-10 that i'm putting 90 model suburban crossmember setup in. This truck did'nt come with a swaybar or the frame brackets. Do i need them or the lowered ones? It is bagged with plates and cups. can I bolt the swaybar directly to the frame or should i get the brackets. Thanks Greg

Re: Sway bar mounts
I would bolt it directly to the frame on a bagged truck.
Purchase some good Polyurethane bushings. I believe you will have to cut the ends of the sway bar off a little (1-1/8" on each end) to keep them from coming in contact with the bags. There is a thread on here about that subject. Look here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...light=sway+bar

Re: Sway bar mounts
Get the lowered ones. Also, you'll have to drive out the two rivets that hold the bottom of the front crossmember out. That is where the back of the stock or lowered sway bar mounts bolt to.

Re: Sway bar mounts
Both ways will work, but you don't "need" the brackets on a bagged truck.
