No Spark
Working on a 350 with HEI. I have installed a new coil, new cap, new wires and plugs, and new module. I have 12 volts to the coil but no spark. Am I missing something? Thanks

lost spark on mine and it was the coil. is your firing order right. do you have the coil in the cap if so did you install the little contact tab from the coil to the rotor, how about the ground tab. just a few things you can check

Just make sure that you connected the 12V supply to the correct one of the two possible spades, one is for a tach and the other is the feed for the dist. Is this a used dist? If it has high mileage, the wire to the pick-up coil under the module plate has been known to break in half.

1. is the carbon/brass bushing pointing the right way? I've seen them installed wrong with the spring facing down. 2. Did you get a module that is matched with the coil? I know that there are two coils & two modules that are matched (one coil has a yellow & a red wire & the other coil has a white & a red wire) 3. when you installed the cap, did you put in the little bent metal piece that sits under the side of the coil & is held down by one of the screws? I cant think of much else.... I hope this helps...

Thanks for all the suggestion. All components replaced are new. We had a big wind storm today, I will check these things tomorrow and get back to ya.
