1-2 lowering shackles?

Hey guys I got done lowering my truck and im thinking that I wanna go another inch or 2 in the back. I was wondering if I can buy the 1-2 lowering shackles and use the original hanger for them? Right now I have 4 inches of clearence between the frame and axle. Do you think I will need to c-notch it? I do not feel like having to do all that work! By the way I used a 5in flip kit in the rear. Any help would be great thanks. Jon

You CAN do the 2" shackle and get away with it...you just have to be REAL careful and NOT haul ANYTHING in the back. Why not just get a Bolt-In notch from Western Chassis? It's a pretty easy job...

I used a 5" flip kit and shackles in the 1" hole. The so called 1" hole will drop it another 3/4" at the axle, the 2" hole another 1-1/4". Before my notch, I had right at 2-3/4" of clearance. It would hit on dips in the road.

Oh, I used the 1" hole in the shackle.

Well thanks. I guess I will get em. I wanna get a c notch but I do not have the time to install it! Or the money to have someone do it. How much do the kits cost?
