06' Silverado SS Rear-end (Diff.) swap.

has anyone done this swap on a 70-72 2WD Blazer or 67-72 C10?

I have this rearend, it came off from my motor donor truck , its an 06' Silverado SS model, the rearend differential its a 2WD w/drum brakes !

I have seen some of those trucks with the 14 bolt semi-floating axle and some have the regular 1/2 ton 10 bolt axle. Just curious which one you have?

my rearend came off of an 06' SS Silverado 2WD with drum brakes and its a 14Bolt, anyone has the specs. of this particular rearend (differential)?

is it possible to swap it to my 2wd K5?

Why not just break out a tape measure and measure the perches, width ...etc?

i know that rear is a direct swap into a 98 body style but not sure on the older ones. most likely it's a 3.73 rear.

also that truck is AWD

and I will tell you now, it won't bolt right in. The spring perches are at a different width plus your u-joints aren't the same. It isn't hard to make it fit though, weld on some new spring perches and get an "adapter" ujoint and you are good to go.
