Bed floor ques
The 71 longbed I just bought has some floor rot. The supports underneath are good, but the floor itself has quite a few holes. I'd like to fix this, and would like to know what other people have done. I don't think there's a new replacement and even if there is, I probably can't afford it. So what options do I have? Pick up a couple sheets of flat steel and make one? Cut one out of a newer bed?

Re: Bed floor ques
They do sell patch panels. I know LMC trucks carries it. you could also either search the boneyards, and cut a patch from a truck there. Or you could become a member, and post a WTB (want to buy) ad here on the board.
Good luck!

Re: Bed floor ques
i didnt care for the patches, they seemed off in pattern. I recommend cutting some from another truck, unless you can find a better floor all together.

Re: Bed floor ques
The LMC floor is 1100 bucks, and 2 panels of the floor is 500. That's pretty pricey to me. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to dig up a donor bed, or make a flat one.

Re: Bed floor ques
The patches seem like they were made for 73 up floors as the ribs are not the same as original and do not fit right.
