Re: Models on E-Bay
There is one way to get a 1963 model, build it using the resin 1963 grille available from Modelhaus.
http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?y...&Submit=Search All I have is the link, I can't find a picture of it posted anywhere. It only costs $4.75 for the grille by itself. I’ve built 3 models of my GMC using a resin grille from Modelhaus. It's marginally out of scale, but all there is available. The first one was built using part of the Revell stepside bed and back of the cab, but mostly from a Modelhaus resin replica of the entire 1960 cab and hood. At the time it was the only way to get the wrap around windshield, as the 1960 kit had not been developed yet. The other two are a combination of AMT and Revell kits. The second one is what it was going to look like if I ever chromed the front end. The last one I slapped together just before painting my truck. I used the actual paint that was going on the real truck to see if I liked the way it looked. |

Re: Models on E-Bay
Mark,
I have used Modelhaus for years. I have the fleetside model and they make a Hood, tailgate incert and grill. You need to cut down the PS dash hump and putty up and sand down the PS side of the dash and scribe in the glovebox door to the correct shape. Other than that the rest of the kit is perfect. Just recently I found a modeler who is willing to cast models of the 305 V-6 Engine in 1/25th scale to drop in the models. I need to get enough foks together to raise up the $300 he'll have in cost before he will cast them. I have about 12 guys on Jolly's site who have committed (in words) and need a few more. I can float the advance IF I thougt I'd be able to pass them along. Any takers on this BB? jbgroby@charter.net contact me directly and MAKE sure you put the subject in "MODEL ENGINE". Jake BTW who's the cute chick in red?
