Tire size and drivability question.

How much of a difference is there for street drivability between 35's on 15" rims as compared to 35's on 17" rims. I have 35's on my K5 now with 15x8" rally rims. The suspension, ball joints, everything is pretty much new. I know it is a truck and not a sports car but it seems to be all over the road sometimes. I have tried all different tire pressures but that does not make a difference. The truck will probobally never be offroad so I don't need thel 15's for crawling or anything. Will the shorter sidewall of the 17 make a noticable difference on the street? Thanks

Re: Tire size and drivability question.

I doubt you would notice a difference until you start street racing it. And then the leaf springs and sway bar would make a bigger diff then wheels i think. Is your sway bar hooked up?

Re: Tire size and drivability question.

The front end on my truck seems to be tight as well, but when I went from 35" boggers on 16.5x12" wheels to RADIAL 35s on 17x8.5" didn't really notice a difference. Other than noise....

Re: Tire size and drivability question.

You won`t notice a difference.it sounds like you have some other problem. You either have a bump steer issue or a worn part in the bunch.
