Re: body lift
You can put a body lift on fro probably under $100 bucks. It doubt that you will be able to run that much bigger of a tire than you are now. Maybe one size bigger. A body lift will not help ground clearence at all. A body lift can also mess up your heating/cooling in that the radiator will sit higher than the fan. If you want to run bigger tires I think you would be better off putting your money towards a suspension lift.

Re: body lift
Performance Accessories Body lifts are about $150 for 67-72. Mudder is right about the fan. I am building a motor when I did my BL, so I just upgraded to electric fans. BL affect cooling, steering shaft, trans linkage, T-case shift linkage, fuel lines, and brakelines from MC. It can easily be overcome, but takes some patience and thought process. Let me know if you end up going with a BL and I'll be more than happy to give you some pointer.

i understand what you're saying, but no matter what, aren't your axles limiting factors in ground clearance, not lift? lift allows bigger tire, which puts more distance between the ground and the axle, gaining ground clearance. like all the rock crawling guys who run big tires and no lift

Re: body lift
A body lift will enable you to run bigger tires but a body lift will not give you more grround clearance. larger tires and wheels will add to more GC. Moving up from a 33 to a 35 inch tire will give you 1 inch of ground clearance.

Re: body lift
you also have to consider suspension flex
adding a body lift (in my honest opinion) just "looks cool" but it also exposes your gastanks more and dosent give you and "real" benefit besides looking cooler in the mall parking lot

Re: body lift
well take the time to research and learn...
a 4 in lift is good man , look in the 4x4 section for the lift and tire charts, and jsut look around you got plenty of time to figgure out what you want. you can also go to the 4x4 project and builds section and see what others have done
