Drove my Truck Today...Finally!!!

After working out a few small issues, I took my truck on its maiden voyage as a shortbed. Its been two years since it was on the road, and it felt great to drive it again. Any motivation issues I had with this project are long gone. Now I just need to get a hood and move on to paint and body. I was gonna go orange/white, but now im leaning toward staying with the gold/white. Don't see too many SWB's that color combo. What do you guys think?

Re: Drove my Truck Today...Finally!!!

Personally, I don't like changing the original color of a car. I think the gold and white would look very good. If you want it a little different, maybe do a base/clear and put a little gold pearl in the clear over the gold paint. I dunno, just thinking out loud.

Re: Drove my Truck Today...Finally!!!

on the maiden voyage. I'd stay gold and white, one because it's , two, because it draws less attention from law enforcement than orange when you want to do this .

Somehow my hood was stolen out of the shop. Nothing else taken. Im not sure why someone just took it and nothing else. They must have needed a hood like I do now. Anyway, I do have full exhaust, but no side or rear glass

No, I'm gonna find an original hood. No offense to anyone who has one, but im just not a cowl hood guy. Sounds like the original color is the peoples choice. I was leaning hard that way anyway, and I think this settled it. Thanks everyone for the positive comments.

Re: Drove my Truck Today...Finally!!!

I vote to keep it gold and white too. I have just changed mine from a LWB to a SWB, it does feel good driving it as a SWB.
