85 chevy wireing harness
hey guys, i just picked up an 85 chevy pickup that had a small fire under the hood back by the distributor cap. so alot of wires are toasted in that area. should i try and patch what got cooked or should i just get a whole new wiring harness for it? and if i were to go the whole new route is there any suggestions on were to find a new harness?

Thanks guys, i found out about painless harnesses a little after i posted this but $600 is a bit outta my reach. this other link that was posted looks perfect. and the truck is gonna be a 4x4 wheeler/ daily driver so its all function over form. i just wasnt sure if reusing a harness from a junk truck was possible, but thatll probably be my first try since i dont need it perfect i just need one that isnt fried haha. and my second option will be that link that draggin86 put up cuz $120 will fit in the budget just fine lol..

I am in the middle of a Painless installation right now and it is very straightforward. My old harness was rotted, hacked and spliced after 30 years and wasn't worth any attempt to repair it. The price tag was pretty high for me, but it also bought piece-of-mind.
