Need Help with Transmission Choice

I bought a 1969 c-10 and it was factory three one the tree. Now it has a 4 speed on the floor with a muncie transmisson .. the question i have it's should i get a turbo 400 automatic or leave it a 4 speed manual?

a turbo 400 is very difficult to beat for an all around trans. IMO

What do you use the truck for?
If you just cruise the town on friday night then I would go auto.
If you use it as a driver I would stay with manual for reliability and simplicity of service.

Also consider if you switch to auto will it be column shift or floor shift?
Does your radiator accept the cooling lines?

A swap to auto could cost some $$$

its just a weekend/show cruiser and i know a guy that will build me a killer transmission for cheap
