A can of carb dip, and a rebuild kit. Also a choke cable if your truck doesn't have one.

Looks like the link rod for the fast idle cam on the drivers side of the carb might be gone. I ran mine with the choke wired open to disable it, so that piece isn't essential for the carb to work. You can probably get a replacement from Edelbrock.

I wouldn't have purchased it even for $62.

I learned my lesson with carbs long ago to only buy them used if they are just coming off a running vehicle. Internal parts rust and the body gets corrosion in places it shouldn't and this makes them very difficult to get fully functional again.

That one looks like it has been scavenged for parts and left on a non-running rig for a long time.

It may have been on the truck a couple months ago but I doubt it ran well if at all.

I would try to sell it on CL before spending any more money on it. It looks like a bottomless pit of time & money to me.

I see good condition ones sell locally for $50 to $75 so just keep your eye out.

You can also talk to used car lots that sell older vehicles. Many have stashes of these carbs on the shelf that they will part with cheap.
