Can i put a 73 seat in my 71?

I was wondering if it would be easy to throw a 73 bench into my son's 71. Will there have to be any mods made or is it a pretty simple swap? Thanks for your help!!

I'm not sure if the brackets will bolt up, but it doesn't take much to find out. If the brackets don't line up, you might be able to switch the brackets from the 71 seat to the 73 seat.

Re: Can i put a 73 seat in my 71?

I've heard of people putting the 73 - 87 seat on the 67 - 72 seat track.
But as far as just putting the later seat in the 71, it won't even come close to working.

Re: Can i put a 73 seat in my 71?

should have no problem fitting in the box//but for the cab you'll need some type of mounts as the 73on mounts are very low compared to trhe 67-72seat mounts

I put a 1999 seat in my '69 all I did was drill new holes and hook up the power.
It is here:

Re: Can i put a 73 seat in my 71?

My wrecker came with a plaid post-72 seat that was bolted right to the same holes.now that it`s brought up i`m realizing the brackets must have been swapped.I was thinking they bolted right up.But,the`73-ups have a raised floor and my head would be through the roof.
