67 donor?

First off i am new to the site and i have been looking around at some of the threads last couple of days and i sure wish i would have found this site years ago.


I have a 67 swb and i was wondering what you guys would suggest for a donor vehicle to help with the parts i need. I want to put tilt steering in it, power brakes,power steering, change from 6 to 5 lug.

I was wondering if i could swap the whole front sub fame or if i have to change just the spindles?

71-72 1/2 ton chevy

front end stuff, swap rearend use power booster stuff and tilit, well maybe find used or buy new..

The tilt column restricts you to 71/72 to get it all from one vehicle.Van columns work up until column ignitions came along awhile later and are cheaper than 69-72 truck columns.If you want a vehicle for all that except the column you can go right up through the 88-98s.I`m not sure if you can just swap the knuckles with tie-rod ends on the 88-98s,but the 73-87s you can.
