what was changed on the bed after '72? i'm wondering b/c i'm looking for a tonneau and a lot of them dont have anything before '73 and i'm wondering if the '73 cover will fit on my fleetside bed?

The top lip on a 73 up is wider. I have a fiberglass on my 72 that came off dad's 84, it fit flush on the 84 but it has an inch overhang on the 72...

so, a soft top that fits over the rail would definately not work b/c it would hang over the bed side?

The way they are made, formed to fit snug aginst the top of the rail, it woud probably sag in the middle or look like it's buldging(sp) on the sides just down from the top lip...
