New paint job! (tease pic)
I picked up my 72 Suburban from the paint shop today... I'm very happy with the results. Now I just have to re-assemble it so I can drive it...
thanks to all here that have helped me along with advice and help! --steve

Looks great. Thats going to be a sweet ride when you are done.
I keep seeing all these nice burbs and it makes me want to swap a burb body for my panel. |

Thanks!
For the first time I think my project is waiting for time, not cash :-) ... I have a lot of parts in boxes ready for the re-assembly. --steve

Re: New paint job! (tease pic)
Hey that is super sweet. It's the same color that I'm wanting to paint mine. Is that the original blue color? Can you tell me the name of it?
Thanks and keep up the pictures! Joe |

Re: New paint job! (tease pic)
The paint color is from a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser... it is called "Surf Blue". I saw one going down the street, I liked the color, began studying blue cars for six months until I was convinced that was the one for me.
The white is GM Fleet white (I don't know if it has a better name, that's what the guy called it) PPG 2 stage (base coat, clear coat) (Deltron, I think?) Any wrinkles or imperfections are my bad body work, all the rest of it is the body shop's work... :-) I will post some more views soon. --steve

Looks great, I will keep an eye out for you on the road!
I think a stock looking paint job like that would be sweet on the 4 door Tahoe I have been working on (slowly that is) and would really confuse people. Kevin LFD Inc. Last edited by Rokcrln; 11-08-2009 at 01:57 PM. |

I really like surf blue with white. That's a very nice suburban.
