Yeah, my factory gauge with the old 350 went way past the High pressure line at startup, and would sit there pegged until warm up, then it would go all the way down and the needle would sit on the "L" Line, when I finally got a cheap aftermarket gauge, I had about 2 lbs of psi at hot idle in gear...pretty good huh? LOL
I recommend buying a cheap little wal mart Oil psi gauge and installing it under the dash for the time being, to see if perhaps the factory gauge is just being odd, anything is possible.------------------ 68 SWB S/S, 406 sb (the Mighty Mouse), 660 Holley, Computer Dyno'd at about 330 HP, and 385 LB.
