Installing New Ignition cylinder
I am trying to install the ignition cylinder in a 72' C10- what is the "trick" to get it to click into place?

If you are installing it just stick it in the switch so that the little hole lines up with the spring loaded pin, push it in and turn it to the right. Once in a while you have to have the hole in the cylinder just a little to the left of the pin.... I'll get this right sooner or later... You have to have the key in it too. LockDoc
