Difference in 4.3 valve covers...95 vs 96
Does anyone have any pix of a 4.3 that I can view so I can see what the differences are? I have looked for dressy chrome/alum covers for my '96 but the offerings stop at '95. I know the intake system is different, but what changed on the valve covers?
I assume that '96 and up are the same, but I don't have any proof.

You might cruise over the the S10 section, they saw the same changes at the same times. IDK about your 96, but the eariler V6 Vortecs actually were grey (I think) with Vortec in raised red letters. I thought the looked pretty good.

In 96, the cover was redesigned. It was slanted and plastic.
There is a company that has covers. Unfortunately, I can't remember who sells them. Last edited by gchemist; 11-07-2009 at 10:58 PM. |

the ones you see in chrome are for TBI up to 95.
I'm not sure i would trust any aftermarket one to seal on Vortec heads. |
