Will a ps box from an 83 bolt in a 68?

I have a 68 with stock power steering however the box is leaking pretty bad.
I can get another box from a 83 but need to know if it will bolt in and use the same hoses that I have on now.

If anyone could shed some light on this change I would really appreciate any insight.

Thanks

Scott

It will bolt in but you have to change your hoses or use the pump off the 83.I did it on my 67.

You don't have to change to the later model pump just because the hose ends are different. You just unscrew the 1 inch hex fitting out of a late model pump and screw it into your old pump. They interchange and this gives you the proper fitting you need for the late model hose.

the big problem I had with using an '85 ps box on mine was not finding any metric-o-ring lines that would fit the truck. Just convert the '83 to a flair line box.
