Re: tow hitch for 72

pretty sure from early 60's thru late 80's the frames were the same width// best is to measure your frame width and go with the tape measure, you get the right width then it's just drilling a few holes to secure to frame

Re: tow hitch for 72

any pics of where the receiver exits the bumper? I want to keep the stock bumper and don't want the receiver under the liscense plate. It would be better behind it, then remove plate and shield to tow.

There are a lot of cool toys for these old trucks. If you stick around the board for too long you will find the money floating right out of your pocket as you buy one goodie after another.

Re: tow hitch for 72

I've looked at that hitch also. I does look like a good buy. Has anyone installed one? How did you like it?

In regards to this site emptying one's pockets, here's a site I play around on a bit that makes these trucks look like tonka toys!http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/

Cool! I love do-dads. I'm not used to having a vehicle with so much aftermarket support.
Some one has got to make a cool cupholder for one of these things....

They do make a cool cup holder, it fits in the ash tray slot with the factory door.

You are also local to a bunch of shops....check out the Truck Shop in orange, Brothers in corona, and CPP in Anaheim.

Re: tow hitch for 72

Year One sells a cup holder that slides into ash tray. I have one in my 72 malibu vert and another in my 72 Elcamino. Soon will get one for the 72 chevy truck.
