I'm wanting new wheels. It will be either of these 2 choices, and they will be staggered 18/20"

What do ya'll think? And show us your pics of either staggered wheels (18/20) or your TTII's or Vintecs!

torq thrust st's if this helps....18" and 20" I would go with the vin-techs if I was picking..

I would go with less common that Torqs or Vintecs. Although both wheels are sharp seems like there are very common. Try some of these others:

Ain't that the truth!.....I'm tired of big @ss wheels and rubber band tires. 17's may be "oldskool" on a late model, but not on a 35+ yo truck!

I think what he meant was the 17's let you maintain the old school look, while bigger wheels give you a more modern look. That's the way that I look at it anyway. I guess I fit into the "old school" category.

I vote for regular Vintecs. However, the TTIIs would be classier and last longer in terms of style. Vintecs might be a tad more trendy.

I need to order wheels and tires next. I've really been struggling with this same question.

I've narrowed down my choices to the Cragar ss or the TT's in 17" both.

What I can't decide on is the stance! A 2" / 4" drop or what.

Zumo, what were those middle wheels in those pics that you posted? Looks like an old style laker kind of wheel?

I wish more guy's listed their drop specs and wheel sizes in their signatures! LOL

I remember thinking the same thing when I was trying make that decision. I think I'll take your advice and do that. This truck is not mine, but here is another type of wheel that I like and are less expensive. They are 17" chrome Crager 390s, which are a knockoff of Halibrand sprints.

Thanks a million Huggercst!

My builder has convinced me to not worry about the stance until she's all done. Meaning motor is in it and the wheels and tires of choice are bolted on.

No c notches or drop members so adjusting the stance will be a cake walk according to him.

Truck is a 72 Cheyenne Super, swb black ext and parchment. I like the 17" old school look. Timeless wheel design and properly filled wheel wells. Ha Ha!
