A/C install

I am adding factory a/c on a small block. I have not mounted the compressor yet, I am wondering if I need new pulleys. On my old pulleys there is one v that is not used. Is this for the compressor belt or are they totally different pulleys. Thanks

some compressors come with a 2 groove pulley. These will line up with existing pulleys....also I beleive some compressors can be mounted and have slotted holes in the mounting bracket to align with existing pulleys.
