Easiest way to remove a rocker panel?
The donor truck I bought has a pretty good rocker/rear floor area, so I'd like to cut it out and prep it to go in my truck.
What's the best method for removing it? Should I cut it out as one piece, pull off the outer rocker first, etc? I want to remove this area:

just order a new one, they are only 40$ and chances are by the time you remove it...you will find other issues with it

Re: Easiest way to remove a rocker panel?
Just had a new baby that spent a week in the hospital - ZERO funds for buying patch panels at the moment. This is a truck I'm parting out to pay for stuff like this, but I'm not making much...and this part is about the only usable part in the cab. So, I might as well use it.
There's a little rust through, but only in very simple, flat areas that I can repair. I'd like to use this piece if I possibly can. If I ruin it cutting it out, or there turns out to be more rust that what's visible, I may chunk it and save up for a patch panel. But it couldn't hurt to try, right?

Re: Easiest way to remove a rocker panel?
IMO the correct way would be to drill out all the spot welds and remove the outer rocker first, and then remove the rest of the area you want. This would be basically the reverse of how it went together.
I hope the new baby is doing well......
