Re: One Piece Window Group Buy? Anyone interested?
When you install your windows. check the chanel that goes on your stock rollers. I got the glass in the door and was ready to bolt the glass to the track and the holes did not line up. This would not of been that bad if I had a helper but I was putting the glass in by myself. Also the front roller chanel is easier to install after you get the glass in the door and bolted to the horizonal roller chanel. Im sure the second one will go alot quicker.

Re: One Piece Window Group Buy? Anyone interested?
Mine was kinda difficult. Some my own part from anticipation on getting them done. I actually broke the passenger side glass while installing it. After that happen I removed the driver and using a grinder inside the door cleaned up the front of the door. They were both clearing but having a little problem rubbing on the area directly under the upper door hinge. They look awesome though, and now that I've had to figure out some of it on my own, I hope to finish the install. I'm still waiting on Ben with OPP to ship the new passenger glass. I will give them a bump for the willingness to replace just one window glass for a good price. I'm just waiting...... for it to come in, still......

Re: One Piece Window Group Buy? Anyone interested?
This was the last one I will ever do. Way to much trouble for the small amount I made on them. Granted those that got them got a killer deal. In the end 4 buyers bailed, which is about the same from the first time I did this.
They are always in my online store for less than OPP, and they will most likely show up from time to time in the monthly specials, just not discounted like this. NWD02, I didn't know you broke yours. Did Ben give you an ETA?

Re: One Piece Window Group Buy? Anyone interested?
I've talked to him multiple times. The answer is usually the same, "a few weeks until he gets the glass in." Last I spoke with him, (about a month ago), he said it was in and going to send it out and call me back for payment info, no word yet. I'm starting to think he might have lost my number or something to I'll following up again this week. I'm not saying it's been a bad experience, it's been a learning one.
Over all I would highly recommend this kit to other 67-72 enthusiast. |
